Nigeria had blocked the access to Twitter across the country as the social media app had removed a tweet from the President Muhammadu Buhari during the week of June 2021. The Federal Ministry of Information and Culture of Nigeria had conveyed through a series of tweets on 4 June 2021 that the government has suspended the social media app Twitter indefinitely.
