As of 2020, IntrCity, RailYatri' s smart bus network, raises funds in India to expand its fleet. Omidyar Network and Blume Ventures joined the round, which was led by Infosys Co-founder Nandan Nilekani and Samsung Venture Investment Corporation.

With the next half billion Indians coming online over the next three to five years, they will look for pan-India multi-modal transportation platforms,” says Manish Rathi, co-founder of RailYatri.
Aside from that, the startup expects ecosystem collaborations to drive consumer growth and interaction (on the bus, food, and ticketing fronts).
"The latest investments will help us further expand our IntrCity SmartBus network and enhance our tech platform. We intend to expand our SmartBus fleet to 300 from the current 84 over the next few months and are on track for a managed fleet of 2000 by 2022," the company stated.
