How was Dunzo Started?
Kabeer Biswas, when shifted to Bengaluru, got bored in six months. He decided to test a new business idea that was to have a self-completing to-do-list product. This was the idea of Dunzo. His small room in a duplex became the headquarters of Dunzo. He started spreading the word about the concept to his friends. Soon he himself started running errands for people on bike and started making deliveries. People just dropped a message on his Whatsapp and he made sure that he completed the task.
To help him in this task he hired a few people from an NGO on a part-time basis. This team in June 2015 completed 70 such deliveries rather than tasks in just one day. This gave rise to the popularity and soon in the next three months, the startup got its first huge investment. In 2016 due to the demand surges the Whatsapp based service transformed to an app where the other co-founders stepped in and made this app a huge success.
