Edtech startup Unacademy (1) has acquired a majority stake in leading K12 learning platform Mastree with a strategic investment of $5 million. The investment will make Mastree a part of the Bengaluru-based platform’s Unacademy Group which comprises of Wifistudy, Kreatryx, CodeChef, and PrepLadder.
The investment will play a pivotal role in further strengthening the edtech platform’s presence in the K12 learning segment.
K12 learning refers to education imparted to students from the kindergarten to 12th standard and is a widely used term in edtech.
